Personal training via MCP: a certified trainer inside your AI

, Connect

Personal training via MCP means your AI assistant can order a written training document from a certified human personal trainer. You connect Claude, ChatGPT or another agent to a personal trainer MCP server once. From then on, when you say "I want a real trainer to plan my next eight weeks", your assistant gathers what the trainer needs, sends the order, and reads the finished plan back to you in the same conversation.

It joins two things that were separate until now: the assistant you talk to every day, and a professional who can take responsibility for a plan.

What MCP adds to an assistant

MCP, the Model Context Protocol, is an open standard that lets an AI assistant use outside tools. A server offers the tools; your assistant calls them when your request needs them. If the term is new to you, our plain guide to MCP explains it without the jargon.

A personal training MCP server gives your assistant a small, clear set of new abilities: read the catalog of what can be ordered, place an order, follow its status, read the document when it arrives, and see how much credit you have left. It cannot pay, change your account or see anyone else's orders. You can revoke its access at any time on your account page.

How an order flows

  1. You ask. Tell your assistant what you want in plain words: a plan, a look back at the last month, or a check of a plan it already wrote for you.
  2. Your assistant interviews you. It asks for what the trainer needs and fills in what it already knows from your chats. That includes a short health declaration based on the PAR-Q+, the international standard questionnaire used before exercise.
  3. It sends a structured brief. The brief follows published standards, so your assistant and the trainer read the same words. Goals are written as SMART goals. A training plan starts from NSCA's needs analysis and is described with FITT-VP (frequency, intensity, time, type, volume and progression) and NSCA's program variables. Effort in past sessions is logged as session-RPE, Foster's method of rating a whole session, and recovery with the Hooper index.
  4. A certified trainer takes it. They read the brief without your name, email or account. They see your age, your language and what you chose to share.
  5. The trainer writes under a fixed template. Every document has the same headings, so you and your assistant always know where to look. It ends with a Referral heading that points you to health care if anything in your brief calls for it.
  6. Your assistant reads it back. Delivery is usually within two days of a trainer taking the order. That is a usual time, not a promise.

From there you keep working with your assistant as before. It can walk you through a session, remind you what week you are on, and help you log how it went.

The three kinds of order

Each order follows one of three protocols. They cover the moments where a trainer's judgement matters most.

OrderWhat you getPrice
PlanA plan for the period ahead, built on your body, goals and the time you actually have$49.00
EvaluateAn evaluation of a period that passed, read from your logs, with what to keep and what to change$29.00
Review a planA trainer reviews a plan your assistant already wrote and tells you what to fix$19.00

A plan suits a fresh start or a new goal. An evaluate order fits the end of a block, when you have logged your sessions and want to know whether they worked. Review a plan is for the common case where you and your assistant have already built something and you want a professional to check it before you follow it for weeks.

You can also order training and food together, from one professional who holds both qualifications, as one document. See all prices.

Why a human signs off

AI assistants are very good at the parts of coaching that take time: asking questions, remembering what you said, keeping a log, explaining an exercise at eleven at night. We use them for exactly that.

A certified trainer adds two things. The first is judgement. A trainer reads your brief as a whole and notices what does not fit: a goal that clashes with your schedule, a lift that deserves a different progression given an old injury, a recovery score that says you are doing too much. The second is accountability. A named profession, with a certification, stands behind the plan you follow.

There are also clear lines. Every trainer on Care MCP is certified and vetted before they see an order. They are personal trainers, and they are never presented as physiotherapists or doctors. This is wellness and performance for healthy adults, never treatment or medical advice. Some health declaration answers mean an order waits for a clinician's clearance, or is refused, and you are told why. If you have symptoms or a condition, see your doctor first. What it costs

Connecting costs nothing, and neither does asking your assistant questions about the catalog. You put prepaid credit on your account yourself; your assistant cannot pay. A document is charged only when it is delivered, so a refused order costs nothing. There is no subscription and no monthly fee, and unused credit is refunded on request. Documents start from $15.00.

Your data

A brief can carry health information, so it is handled with care. Everything is stored in the EU, briefs and documents are encrypted in the database with a key kept outside it, and health data is used only with your explicit consent. We do not sell data or train AI models on briefs or documents.

Start with your own assistant
